Vivaldi Strings
Getting to know our ensembles with our music leaders – Vivaldi Strings
Vivaldi Strings is the promotion String ensemble in the Junior School. The more advanced string players of the Junior School get to play in this orchestra. The members have been selected by Ms Morgan for displaying proficiency in sight reading and performing a variety of string techniques. At Vivaldi we play with the cello, violas, violins, and double basses. We aim to learn how to play more advanced techniques and how to sight-read music with complex rhythms. We also learn how to understand the conductor’s gestures, so we know exactly where we are. Most importantly, we have fun and enjoy playing music together. At Vivaldi, we’re not only there to learn new techniques and how to play more complex music, but to build up our confidence and to practice the pieces for assembly performances once a term, at the Primary Arts’ Festival, and the Evening of Music.
