Library News | Junior School

Infants have been using the new space well in the Junior School Library. They are borrowing Premiers’ Reading Challenge books that have been placed alphabetically into wooden boxes that are easy for them to access. The space has also been a warm and inviting one for reading books and discussing ideas. It has been encouraging to see how many boys have been reading their books and returning them each week in order to borrow more. If your son has borrowed one of the Library’s spare Library bags, we would greatly appreciate this being returned at the start of Term 2.

I hope that boys and their families enjoy reading many books over the Easter holidays. I am looking forward to hearing about what they have read next term. We will begin to have a spot during Monday’s Assembly where we will be promoting great books for the boys to read. Some Year Six boys have been given some short-listed Children’s Book Council Award Notables to read over the holidays so they can recommend them to students next term. I will be asking boys from other grades to do the same throughout the year.
